your style. The variety of sites are described in the following
links, but be sure to call ahead to check availability.

Big River Campground - Prairie du Chien
Located in beautiful Prairie du Chien, this campground offers easy access to
the Mississippi River. 54 permanent sites & 54 sites available for nightly
or weekly rental. Dump station, shower house, boat launch & electrical
sites. Scenic beauty & great fishing opportunities. Close to all area
activities & shopping centers. Open May 1st to November 1st.

Anderson Park - Soldiers Grove
The village park is home to the Congressional
Medal of Honor Memorial, which celebrates awards to more than 600 medal
recipients from 12 Midwestern states. The area closest to the Kickapoo
is reserved for tent camping. An interior area provides hook-ups for larger
recreational vehicles. Within the park are play areas for toddlers, teens
and adults – swing sets and slides, a skateboard park, tennis courts and
horseshoe pitching areas.

Black Hawk Recreation Area - DeSoto
A
short distance from DeSoto, Black Hawk Recreation Park provides campers with
boat launches and excellent riverbank campsites. The park commemorates the
site of the 1832 Battle of Bad Axe, where Chief Black Hawk and his band of
Sauk followers made their historic stand against the U.S. infantry.

Riverfront Park - Wauzeka
Located adjacent to the Kickapoo River boat landing, the village park
features plenty of green space for tents and camping vehicles. No
hookups are available, although the picnic shelter has electricity, running
water, and a fireplace. Campfires are allowed. Public restrooms
(no showers) are located next to the boat landing. Contact the Village

Robb Park -
Gays Mills
Located along the Kickapoo River, the
village park includes camping, fishing, horseshoe facilities, swings,
shelter, and the Kickapoo River Museum. Kick up your feet and enjoy life!
Within walking distance to the Log Cabin Park, Brown Park, Crawford County
Fairgrounds, gas station & convenience store, grocery store, meat locker,
hair salon, floral greenhouse, furniture store and an organic food co-op.

Sports Unlimited Campground - Prairie du Chien
Sports Unlimited Campground is open April 15 to Nov 1 and features 350
grassy, level sites which are available for daily, weekly, monthly, or
seasonal camping. Activities include swimming and wading pool, shuffleboard,
game room, tennis, volleyball, mini golf, and basketball. Enjoy a round of
golf on our 32 par Executive Golf Course, with golf carts or pull carts
available. No tee times taken. The Winneshiek Marina & Bar features food,
overnight or seasonal docking, bait shop, gasoline, and pumping.

Creek Park - Ferryville
Sugar
Creek Park has 8-10 campsites available for campers, pop-tops or tent
campers, with electrical service for 8. In addition, there are also tent
camping sites which are not specifically designated. Tent campers chose
where they are most comfortable setting up and use the location they
select. Potable water is available but not at each site. Campers cannot
connect directly to the water source but can carry the water to their site.
The public restrooms are available, but do not have shower accommodations.
Cost for camping is $5/night plus $3/day if electricity is used. No
reservation service is available, so camping is on a "first come-first
serve" basis. Long-term camping is not permitted. Recreational camping is
encouraged and campfires are allowed. Campers should bring their own
firewood.
Restaurants, a convenience store, and gas
station are located in the heart of the Village of Ferryville. The
Village Boat Launch and pier is located at the north end of the Village with
fishing enjoyed by people of all ages from the pier. Bait shops are
open to help the angler's get their catch. (608) 734-9406.

Wyalusing State Park – Bagley
Located 10 miles south of Prairie du Chien. Features views of the historic
junction of the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers where the first Europeans,
Marquette and Joliet landed in 1673. Campsites, group camping facilities,
picnic facilities, 22 miles of hiking and nature trails, and a year round
