Driftless Area Art Festival
Beauford T. Anderson Park, Soldiers Grove
The Driftless area is an inspirational setting to
many talented artists and artisans. Its hills and valleys are home to
painters and potters, woodworkers and weavers, musicians and metal
smiths.
To see the breadth and variety of their
creations, you usually have to visit studios, stores and galleries
across the area.
This weekend, artists are gathered in
scenic Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin, beside the Kickapoo River at the
Driftless Area Art Festival.
Spend a few hours strolling though the
exhibits. Meet with the artists and learn the source of inspiration for
the piece you take home, and the painstaking or free-wheeling way in
which it was created.
Have a bite to eat, sip some local
wines, and listen to some great music.
