at one of the rivers widest points, Ferryville affords you an expansive
panorama of the Mississippi, a breathtaking view for photographers and
sightseers alike.
The boat landing is a popular meeting
place for anglers getting ready to test their skills, which was rebuilt in
the summer of 2003 and includes two handicapped accessible ramps and docks,
while the local cheese store requires nothing but an appetite for
Wisconsin’s most famous export.
The entire area along with being a
sportsman’s paradise is a motorcycle riders dream due to the hills, valleys,
curves and just pretty scenery. Within the village is Sugar Creek Park,
which has camping facilities, electric hookup, lavatories, and playground
equipment.
There is always plenty of fun to be had
at Ferryville, as demonstrated in these pictures of our annual outhouse
races held in mid-summer held in conjunction with other events.
